Made your best FunFace ever?

Just added something new that is pure awesome: now you can get your FunFace pics on a variety of items, like magnets, mugs, notecards, pins, and more! Just look for the link everytime you snap a FunFace, and you'll be taken to a secure store where you can see products adorned with your latest portrait creation.

Created, sold and shipped by zazzle, a company whos been doing this for some time (since '05). but of course to find out firsthand how good they are, as well as the quality of their wares, i ordered a bunch of stuff right away- a few magnets and pins.

the storefront/shopping cart was pretty solid, with checkout simple and secured with typical SSL encryption. options for further customization of the products were available, which is pretty neat.

they claim to ship usually within 24 hours, and i did receive email notice that my order was indeed shipped within that time frame. i got the goods a couple of days later, so that was right on.

the items were quite good quality, and the printing was as expected; that is, reasonable for screen-resolution jpegs (72 dpi for you technical folks). Overall i think it's a very cool and worthy addition to FunFaceCam, so definitely check it out...

Rocking the Sliders

Making FunFaces is super easy, yet at the same time takes some practice to master: matching the color tones as closely as possible, as well as getting just the right face angle and head position. The more perfect the blend, the better the effect (and laughs)!

Skillful use of the sliders makes all the difference, and understanding each one is key to getting it down. I'm still learning myself, and i'll be writing about what i discover here, and at the 'Color Sliders 101' page.

So experiement away- once you get the knack for it you can focus on making the best facial expressions!
