Wear the Meat Dress
personally if I had to wear a meat outfit, let it be bacon. or maybe steak-umms. not sure if cooked or uncooked, both still seem equally uncomfortable.. but then again, if cooked at least i can eat my way naked. yikes, have i painted too disturbing an image? sorry!
ok fine then, go ahead and try one on yourself- the infamous flesh couture that walked down the red carpet recently by that master of fashion publicity stunts Lady Gaga.

In other minor news, i just put up a 'like' button for the main site on the home page. yeah, real slow on that bandwagon there, but hey, never too late to like i say! I like you too!!

How could any holiday event be greater for FunFaceCam than Halloween- when fantasy alter-egos come to real life, not just snapshots? To celebrate, a new category of photobooths is up: Costumes! Besides the great photo themes and scenarios, the extra neat thing about it is that you can buy the outfits-- Look for the 'buy it now' button each costume page, and you'll be taken to buycostumes.com, indubitably the best source for everything Halloween.. Join their community section as well and meet some true h'ween fans- and tell them I sent you!

New 'Hairstyles' category unleashed!
After long nights in the lab, the trial beta version is up and running here... This new category lets you experiment with different hair lengths, colors, and styles instantly without a single scissor snip, or the outrageous salon fees... And as always, totally free.Hairstyles are organized into Short, Medium, and Long hair length sub-categories. Many are wacky, some retro, a few may even remind you of an old 'do you've tried to forget, but all are definitely fun! I'm not very savvy with style descriptions, but with some googling I think I'm getting some hair terminology down... Please feel free to send me corrections or suggest better ones.
Like the 'super sized' photobooth, it has a rotate/scale feature, allowing you to resize and position the hair overlays however you wish. Click on the image, then click and drag the hair overlay or box corners for the perfect fit..
There's ALOT of hairstyles to come, and I'm posting them up as fast as I can! Have fun with them, and do share the word with friends... :)
Check out the Hairstyle photobooth category here!

Our Super-Sized Photo Category is up!
And larger pics isn't the only thing new about it. For easier face positioning, now you can resize, zoom, spin, flip around your webcam video- no need to move your head or camera to get the perfect angle and fit. All you do is click on the photo (or the zoom/rotate button under the sliders), and drag around the box corners that appear around your webcam video. Smooth...
To launch this new format, we team up with LPCoverLover.com to provide some straight-up wacky vintage record album covers. Send your funface lp cover photos to Matthew, and if he posts it on the site you'll get a free LPCoverLover t-shirt- Sweeet...
Special thanks to the fun-maestro Jake from Zoomdoggle.com for his support. Check out the Super-Sized category here....

Made your best FunFace ever?
Just added something new that is pure awesome: now you can get your FunFace pics on a variety of items, like magnets, mugs, notecards, pins, and more! Just look for the link everytime you snap a FunFace, and you'll be taken to a secure store where you can see products adorned with your latest portrait creation.
Created, sold and shipped by zazzle, a company whos been doing this for some time (since '05). but of course to find out firsthand how good they are, as well as the quality of their wares, i ordered a bunch of stuff right away- a few magnets and pins.
the storefront/shopping cart was pretty solid, with checkout simple and secured with typical SSL encryption. options for further customization of the products were available, which is pretty neat.
they claim to ship usually within 24 hours, and i did receive email notice that my order was indeed shipped within that time frame. i got the goods a couple of days later, so that was right on.
the items were quite good quality, and the printing was as expected; that is, reasonable for screen-resolution jpegs (72 dpi for you technical folks). Overall i think it's a very cool and worthy addition to FunFaceCam, so definitely check it out...

Rocking the Sliders
Making FunFaces is super easy, yet at the same time takes some practice to master: matching the color tones as closely as possible, as well as getting just the right face angle and head position. The more perfect the blend, the better the effect (and laughs)!
Skillful use of the sliders makes all the difference, and understanding each one is key to getting it down. I'm still learning myself, and i'll be writing about what i discover here, and at the 'Color Sliders 101' page.
So experiement away- once you get the knack for it you can focus on making the best facial expressions!
